COMPLIANCE OVERVIEW

The HIPAA/OSHA Updates program is specifically designed to inform and educate dental professionals on safe work processes and best practices for safety and Infection Control compliance. A special look at Covid-19 and Airborne Transmission Prevention recommendations will also be examined. A comprehensive review of regulations, required documentation, and systems implementation will be covered during this lecture. A review of the Bloodborne Pathogens Standard, education expectations, labeling and posting requirements, proper PPE implementation along with employer and employee compliance requirements will be outlined for practical application in the dental office environment.

Kayce Hollingsworth, BS, EFDA

Kayce Hollingsworth, BS, EFDA is the owner of Dental OSHA Compliance Services, LLC. She lectures and consults on dental compliance to large groups and individual offices. She is also a Territory Manager for Shofu Dental Corporation. She has over 25 years of clinical and practical experience as an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant Certified through the University of Florida’s College of Dentistry and is a Registered Dental Assistant with the state of Texas. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Corporate and Organizational Communication from Northeastern University and is currently finishing her MS degree also through Northeastern University. She previously served as a Dental Assistant Instructor, Clinical Consultant, and lecturer through A & M Heath Science Center (Baylor) College of Dentistry giving the State Board Dental Assistant Registration Course, the Nitrous Oxide Course, and other continuing education courses for Dentists, Hygienists and Dental Assistants.

This course is intended for Dentist, Dental Assistant, Hygienist, and Office Manager from novice to advanced.
