Dr. Avillion is CEO and owner of Strategic Nursing Professional Development, a business that specializes in the design
and delivery of continuing education for healthcare professionals. She holds a master’s degree in nursing and a doctorate
in adult education, both earned at Penn State University. Dr. Avillion has extensive experience as a professional speaker,
educator, and author. She has a particular interest and background in mental health nursing and related topics. These
include child abuse, older adult abuse, generalized anxiety disorder, depression, addiction, and substance use disorder.
